Naturalmente, c’è un piccolo addon che ci permette di rendere Internet Explorer più veloce e compatibile con i siti web. Questo addon è Google Chrome Frame il quale sostituisce completamente il motore di rendering web di IE con WebKit di Google Chrome.

Già dal primo avvio si sentono le differenze!

Naturalmente l’addon è compatibile con Internet Explorer dalla versione 6 alla 8, e permette al browser Microsoft di essere compatibile con l’HTML 5 e migliora in maniera esponenziale le prestazioni con il codice javascript.

Well… i advise you to upgrade Internet Explorer 7 to 8 just to obtain some new bug fixes and a bit of compatibilty with some sites… although it is like the previous version.

SearchMe: Visual Search è un sito, che seppur ancora in beta, permette di effettuare delle ricerche “visuali” di qualsiasi cosa.

VS permette di visualizzare i risultati attraverso delle anteprime, che semplificano la ricerca, permettendoci di arrivare subito al nostro obiettivo.

Le anteprime vengono visualizzate in “stack” (la coverflow dell’Ipod per intederci).
Naturalmente non si limita alla ricerca di pagine web, ma anche video, immagini, musica e news.

E’ un ottimo servizio quello offertoci da VS, non solo per la qualità delle ricerche, ma anche per la semplicità d’uso del sito stesso.

Wget, famosissimo programma in ambito UNIX/like, permette di scaricare files di qualunque tipo dalla rete, a apatto di conoscerne l’indirizzo. Naturalmente può essere usato per molti scopi, tra i quali quello di scaricare interi siti.
L’utilizzo è semplicissimo, peccato sia sprovvisto di interfaccia grafica (ma esistono dei pratici Front-End per ovviare a questo).

Per prima cosa dovete scaricare Wget, anche se siete utenti Linux non ce n’è bisogno perchè è installato su tutte le distribuzioni.

DOWNLOAD – Wget:

– Linux – Wget 1.9
– Windows – Wget 1.5.3.1

Utenti Linux:

Controllate se wget è già installato eseguendo “wget” nel terminale altrimenti:
- procedete con la compilazione di Wget con ./configure –> make…

Utenti Windows:

- Scaricate e scompattate wget
- Copiate wget.exe in C:\Windows\System32
- Aprite il terminale ( Start –> Esegui e digitate cmd).

Ora le operazioni da eseguire sono le stesse sia su Windows che su Linux.

All’interno del terminale digitate:

wget -r http://url.delsito/chesivuolescaricare

Adesso il processo di download dovrebbe iniziare. Non è detto che tutto il sito venga scaricato, perchè alcuno cartelle potrebbero essere “protette”.

If you did a Google search between 6:30 a.m. PST and 7:25 a.m. PST this morning, you likely saw that the message “This site may harm your computer” accompanied each and every search result. This was clearly an error, and we are very sorry for the inconvenience caused to our users.

What happened? Very simply, human error. Google flags search results with the message “This site may harm your computer” if the site is known to install malicious software in the background or otherwise surreptitiously. We do this to protect our users against visiting sites that could harm their computers. We work with a non-profit called StopBadware.org to get our list of URLs. StopBadware carefully researches each consumer complaint to decide fairly whether that URL belongs on the list. Since each case needs to be individually researched, this list is maintained by humans, not algorithms.

We periodically receive updates to that list and received one such update to release on the site this morning. Unfortunately (and here’s the human error), the URL of ‘/’ was mistakenly checked in as a value to the file and ‘/’ expands to all URLs. Fortunately, our on-call site reliability team found the problem quickly and reverted the file. Since we push these updates in a staggered and rolling fashion, the errors began appearing between 6:27 a.m. and 6:40 a.m. and began disappearing between 7:10 and 7:25 a.m., so the duration of the problem for any particular user was approximately 40 minutes.

Thanks to our team for their quick work in finding this. And again, our apologies to any of you who were inconvenienced this morning, and to site owners whose pages were incorrectly labelled. We will carefully investigate this incident and put more robust file checks in place to prevent it from happening again.

Effettuare una ricerca è semplicissimo, basta inserire una chiave di ricerca nella casella ceh ci viene proposta e premere invio. Successivamente si può affinare la ricerca cliccando sulla ruota dei tag per evidenziare risultati più specifici.

Possono essere la base per il vostro sito

“Clamoroso: rm -rf / non funziona più ” e in fondo a tutti i commenti guardate un pò cosa è uscito:

Premetto immediatamente che sono l’unico ad usare questo computer e che non mi chiamo Roberto, e nessuno di nome Roberto ha usato il mio computer ( sono l’unico a conoscere la password del mio computer ) ne tanto meno conosco l’indirizzo scritto nel quarto campo. La cosa strana ( non saprei come definirla ) è apparsa dopo aver svuotato la cache di Firefox, quindi… .

Ricaricando la pagina il testo nel 2° e 4° campo è scomparso. Questa cosa mi fa venire i brividi ( lol ).
